Garson House

Residential Care Home

 About Us

Garson House is a small, family-run residential care home. It is situated in the picturesque small town of Lynton on the North Devon coast within walking distance of shops, banks, post office, churches, hotels, restaurants and tea rooms.

There is a regular bus and a taxi service to Minehead and Barnstaple - the nearest large towns.

The property is south-facing, standing in its own grounds and is approached by a private driveway with on-site parking.

Garson House is situated next to the famous Cliff Railway; a Victorian water-powered funicular which links Lynton with its sister village of Lynmouth. With its delightful little harbour, Lynmouth has many attractions to offer its visitors such as beautiful scenery, gentle riverside walks and gift shops.

A large entrance hall leads through to a comfortable lounge and a sun lounge. The dining room is spacious and airy. There is level access throughout the main house with a passenger lift serving the first floor.

Each room is provided with a nurse call system, television, sky and telephone points, some rooms have en-suite facilities.

We aim to provide the highest quality care based on individual requirements, ensuring residents’ needs are catered for at all times.

We also offer a range to help families with respite, day care and holidays. Residents’ families and friends are welcome and encouraged to become involved in the daily life of the home and are able to visit at any time.

Garson House is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and works closely with the health teams at the nearby health centre.

We have a programme of events in-house and residents are assisted to go out as much as possible including to local events advertised.

Staff will also assist residents to our local churches and stay with them for the services each week if so wished.
